Duties:  Assist with digging, basketing and planting trees in various projects; assist with landscaping activities and nursery work.

Qualifications: must be physically fit and enjoy working outside and have own transportation to the Nursery.  Previous experience driving a 1 ton truck and a skid steer is preferred.

Pay Rate:  $16.00 – $17.00/ hour depending on experience.

Potted Trees and Shrubs are warrantied  until June 15 of the following year.  A receipt and the plant material must be produced to receive an in-store credit.  No refund will be issued on dead or damaged stock.  Perennials and a few select trees and shrubs are not covered by warranty. Please inquire at time of purchase.

Caliper Trees purchased in the spring are warrantied until freeze up.  Trees purchased in the fall are warrantied until May 31 of the following year.  Forster Nurseries Ltd. will only warranty trees that are installed by our employees.  If material is picked up and installed by someone else, this warranty does not apply.

Spring is finally here, hopefully we are finished with snow!  The shrubs and perennials have arrived, and we are really excited to show them off!  We have some exciting new varieties along with those reliable ones we have counted on for years!

Spring also means tree digging time! We dig all our trees, burlap and basket them so they are ready to go all summer long!

Again this year, we have some patio tree roses.  These small “trees” look absolutely spectacular in your annual pots on your deck or driveway!  Gives that pot some much needed height, colour and fragrance! We have several varieties of tender roses to compliment the tree roses as well.

For Perennials; a new introduction this year is the Empress Wu Hosta!  This exciting new shade loving plant, can grow to a whopping 4 feet tall!! The perfect plant for that shady dark corner where you need to make a statement! For other new introductions, we have the Manhattan Lights Lupine, an eyecatching combination of yellow and purple, the Anaconda Love Iris is a beautiful combination of peach, pale pink and purple, and for the Peony lovers we have for the first time the beautiful yellow…yes we said Yellow Peony, called Bartzella!  Beautiful, fragrant and something special for your garden (that your neighbours don’t have).

For Shrubs; an exciting new introduction to the Ninebark line up is the Amber Jubilee!! This shrub is a cross from the Diabolo and the Darts Gold!  Beautiful shades of lime green and orange changing to purple in the fall! Growing to a nice size of 5 feet tall!

Seedlings are also in: This year we have White Spruce, Colorado Spruce, Siberian Larch and Lodgepole Pine, these are all about 6-8″ tall and are priced at $4.00.  In deciduous trees we have Laurel Leaf willow, Assiniboine, Balsam and Northwest Poplar these are all priced at $4.00 as well.  And finally a Golden Willow a beautiful orange bark willow that is priced at $5.95  All these seedling are 8-10″ tall.  Seedlings are a great way to put in that large wind break with a minimal cost.
